President

Mohammad Shahadat Kabir CBAP, PMP, ASQ CSSBB

He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of itechss, where he leads initiatives in professional development training, IT consultancy, and digital product development. With over 25 years of experience as an IT professional, he brings a rare blend of strategic vision, hands-on execution, and human-centric product thinking.

Throughout his career, he has worked across diverse sectors including software and IT services, garments, banking, manufacturing, capital markets, international donor agencies, government organizations, and NGOs. He has held a wide range of senior leadership and specialist roles—such as General Manager (IT), Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Head of PMO & Design Services, Chief Product & Service Designer, Head of IT, Project Manager, System Analyst, Business Analyst, and Senior Software Programmer—making him a highly versatile and accomplished technology leader.

He has 16+ years of experience in end-to-end product thinking, encompassing customer journey empathy, product strategy formulation, roadmap definition, cross-functional collaboration, product launch, and value realization. He has successfully delivered 10+ enterprise applications (with multiple functional modules) from idea to implementation, supported by 7+ years of hands-on software development experience and 5+ large-scale third-party enterprise system implementations, including Core Banking Systems.

His professional journey also includes participation as a Service Design Analyst in multiple Digital Service Design Lab (DSDL) initiatives for Bangladesh Government departments under the a2i Programme, supported by the ICT Division, Cabinet Division, and UNDP. In addition, he has led onsite project and product implementations in Uganda, Tanzania, and Pakistan, and has established IT processes and governance frameworks for leading organizations such as BRAC Bank, BRAC EPL Stock Brokerage Ltd, and biTS.

He holds multiple globally recognized certifications, including ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), CBAP®, PMP®, Oracle Certified DBA (OCP), MCDBA, and MCAD, reflecting his strong foundation in quality, business analysis, project management, and enterprise technology.

A passionate educator and mentor, he regularly facilitates CBAP® Exam Preparation, Business Analysis, Project Management, Software Prototyping, Human-Centric Design, and Customer Journey Mapping programs as a trainer and keynote speaker. He is also the recipient of the “Departmental Commitment Award” from BRAC Bank for excellence in system analysis and architecture design.

In addition to his professional work, he is an active volunteer with IIBA® and PMI®. He currently serves as President (2025–26) of the IIBA Bangladesh Chapter, having previously held the role of Vice President – Professional Development (2021–2024). He has also contributed extensively to the PMI Bangladesh Chapter as Director – Outreach (2025), Director – Administration (2022–2024), and Director – Program & Sponsorship (2020–2021).

Charter Past President, IIBA Bangladesh Chapter

Kazi Saiful Hoque, MBA,CBAP®,PMP®

Kazi Saiful Hoque is a distinguished professional with extensive expertise in business analysis, project management, and financial leadership. As the Charter Past President of the IIBA Bangladesh Chapter, he played a pivotal role in establishing and fostering the growth of the chapter, promoting the value of business analysis within the professional community.

With a diverse career spanning multiple industries, Mr. Hoque currently serves as the Chairman of Grace Hospitality and Event Management Group, Co-Founder of HCAP Bangladesh, CEO of Green Resources, and Director of Dhaka Multifeeds Ltd. He is also an Adjunct Faculty at Southeast University, reflecting his dedication to sharing knowledge and nurturing future leaders. Previously, Mr. Hoque held a prominent position as Senior Executive Vice President of The Premier Bank Ltd, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership in the banking sector.
Mr. Hoque holds multiple academic credentials, including an MSc in Business Analytics from Duke University, USA, an MBA from the University of Dhaka's Institute of Business Administration (IBA), an MSc in Fisheries, and a BSc in Zoology from the University of Dhaka.
He actively engages in various professional and social initiatives, serving as Treasurer of the Bangladesh Fencing Federation, a Governing Body Member of Mariners Youth Club, Dhaka, and Charter President of the Rotary Club of Dhaka Luminous. He is also a Paul P. Harris Fellow, Benefactor, and Major Donor of the Rotary Foundation and serves as a member of the Rotary International President’s Special Advisors Team (RIPSA) for Bangladesh.
His professional accreditations include being a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) from IIBA, a Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI, a Certified Blockchain Expert (CBCE) from the Blockchain Council, and a Charter Economist (ChE) from the Global Academy of Finance and Management (GAFM), USA.
Mr. Hoque’s remarkable career achievements, including being recognized as one of the Best Bankers of the Country in 2006, exemplify his commitment to excellence, leadership, and social impact. Through his diverse contributions, Mr. Hoque continues to inspire and empower professionals, driving the growth of the business analysis community in Bangladesh and beyond.

Treasurer

Sharmeen Akhter PMP, CSM, CPISI

Sharmeen is a seasoned IT professional with over 12 years of experience working with leading startups and multinational organizations. She specializes in business analysis, project management, strategy development, financial planning, implementation, and team building.

She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a major in Marketing and Finance from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Jahangirnagar University. A certified Project Management Professional (PMP), CPISI, and Scrum Master, Sharmeen is passionate about driving innovation and organizational transformation.

As the Treasurer of the IIBA Bangladesh Chapter, she leverages her strategic and financial expertise to support the chapter’s growth and empower the business analysis community.

Vice President (VP) Professional Development 

Md. Aftab Uddin, PMP® | CBAP® | CSM® | A-CSPO® | CSPO®

He is a seasoned Business Analysis and Project Management leader with over 13 years of experience spanning software engineering, business analysis, enterprise project management, and digital transformation. He brings a balanced blend of strategic thinking, execution governance, and analytical rigor, enabling organizations to deliver technology initiatives that are value-driven, scalable, and sustainable.

Throughout his career, he has worked across a wide range of industries, including NGO and development ecosystems, distribution, retail, pharmaceuticals, footwear, print media, food and beverage, electronics, manufacturing, and education. He has held progressively responsible roles such as Software Engineer, System Analyst, Business Analyst, Project Manager, and Senior Manager – Business Analyst, which has given him end-to-end visibility across the technology delivery lifecycle.

He has extensive experience in enterprise digital initiatives, including learning management systems, PMU dashboards, cloud billing platforms, reservation systems, and organization-wide digital transformation programs. His professional strength lies in bridging business strategy with technology execution, embedding governance, benefits realization, and stakeholder alignment into complex, multi-vendor project environments. His early career included over five years of hands-on software development, providing him with a strong technical foundation to complement his leadership responsibilities.

Academically, he earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Software Engineering, with his postgraduate studies specialized in Data Science, graduating with the highest distinction. His academic focus reflects strong proficiency in data-driven analysis, statistical reasoning, and analytical decision support, complementing his professional work in business analysis and digital transformation.

In parallel with his industry career, he serves as an Assistant Professor, delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Project Management and Business Analysis, and actively contributes to curriculum design that integrates data science–informed thinking with industry-aligned standards and real-world application.

He holds multiple globally recognized professional certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP®), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM®), Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner (A-CSPO®), and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO®). These credentials reflect his strong commitment to professional excellence, ethical practice, and globally aligned standards in business analysis and project delivery.

A strong advocate of standards-driven professional development, he actively contributes to capability building initiatives focused on BABOK-aligned practices, agile delivery models, governance frameworks, and leadership readiness. His professional philosophy emphasizes clarity, accountability, continuous improvement, and strategic advisory capability, positioning Business Analysts as trusted partners in enterprise decision-making rather than functional support roles.

In addition to his professional and academic engagements, he is an active volunteer within global professional communities, contributing to leadership, professional development, and standards adoption initiatives. His ongoing focus remains on elevating the maturity of the business analysis profession in Bangladesh, strengthening local capability while aligning with international best practices.

Vice President (VP) Membership 

A. B. M. Taj-Ul Islam

A. B. M. Taj-Ul Islam began working with Grameenphone Limited in 2005 as a project member in the field. He ended his tenure there in 2016 as a project manager overseeing access roll-out initiatives. Subsequently, he acquired fundamental roll-out project management experience in cloud-based or digital projects across various organizations.
Mr. Taj-Ul later joined Metal Plus Limited as the Business Head of Power Support Division, where he oversaw the team responsible for both active and passive maintenance projects for approximately 11000 (Eleven Thousand) Telecom BTS sites belonging to the three telecom operators – Banglalink Digital Limited, Grameenphone Ltd., and ROBI Axiata Limited, until 2021. Additionally, this tenure included passive maintenance of Data centers (Core Switch) of Grameenphone Limited.
After twenty years of experience in project management, Mr. Islam switched to own business development in 2019 and founded a business entity Power Solution Bangladesh. He is currently focused on DC power systems, energy efficiency, and renewable energy in both public and private sectors.
Mr. Islam received his graduation from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) as a B. Sc. in EEE graduate. He graduated with a master's degree in Disaster Management from the Institute of Disaster Management & Vulnerability Studies, University of Dhaka, and an MBA with a major in finance from North South University (NSU).
In addition to being a member of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), Mr. Taj-Ul is a Certified Energy Auditor from AEE. He is an Institute of Engineers Bangladesh Life Fellow (IEB).  As of 2021, he has been actively volunteering for the project management community and holds the certification of Project Management Professional (PMP). During 2022–2023, he oversaw the PMI Bangladesh Chapter's Portfolio of Finance & Audit. Additionally, he is currently in charge of the PMI Bangladesh Chapter's Program & Sponsorship portfolio for the term 2024–2025. In addition to being the Vice President of the International Institute of Business Analysis Bangladesh Chapter's Membership Portfolio, he has a very strong passion and mentality for volunteerism.

Bhaskar Ranjan Saha

Mr. Bhaskar Ranjan Saha is a distinguished C-Suite Executive with over 33 years of hands-on experience in various roles, ranging from MTO (Management Trainee Officer) to CXO (Chief Executive Officer). His professional journey has spanned diverse sectors, including textiles and apparel manufacturing, where he has made significant contributions restructuring Accounting Information System & Finance-Business Partnership.

He holds a Commerce Postgraduate degree from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh & is a Professional Accountant. Mr. Saha founded the Bhaskar Accounting Lab, an initiative focused on accelerating and enhancing managers’ productivity and efficiency in the workplace within the textiles and apparel manufacturing industry. The lab aims to produce competent managers in four pillars framework skills set by emphasizing the four core pillars of management: Planning, Organizing, Leading, and Controlling. Additionally, it actively mentors and supports underprivileged youth, guiding them from school to the workplace, emphasizing the importance of hard work, adaptability, and change management.

Mr. Bhaskar Ranjan Saha is a self-employed person since January 2018 after voluntary retirement from the position of Chief Finance & Operations Officer (CFOO) of a Private Group of Companies engaged in 100% export-oriented Textiles & Apparel Manufacturing in Bangladesh forming his own ventures partnering up with Datatex AG. Throughout his career, Mr. Saha has worked with diversified companies, including those engaged in 100% export-oriented textile and apparel manufacturing. His expertise and leadership have left a lasting impact on the industry.
